  • Increase performance by UP TO 20%
  • Incorporate View Frustum culling on all lighting passes with the exception of shadow extrusion. (reduces overdraw)
  • Re-implement input system to remove latency which is causing the « floaty mouse controls ».
  • Viewport scaling can be re-enabled which gives us framerate back during combat.
  • We can start getting deeper pipelining on the graphics cards again as we don’t have to insert artificial stalls to counteract input latencies. (At worst case we should be able to reduce the frequency at which we need to insert the stalls
  • Should give the player more positive control over the game and increase experience even if frame rate doesn’t change.
  • Look into generating default graphics settings based on the card in the system.
  • Look into other graphics settings we could toggle to impact performance on lower end graphics cards.
  • HUD will be repositioned and made scalable so that feels like a PC title pushing it out to the edge of the monitor (not made for TV)
  • Font will be changed so not so big on screen, again giving a more pc feel
  • Make a new option to disable DotBias (should help performance where we are processing bound rather than memory bandwidth bound)
  • Changes to mouse integration on the inventory/biomods screen, making it more simple to use (improves user experience)
  • Inventory: There will no longer be a two stage highlight for items. Single Left Click will highlight, Single Right Click will swap with currently highlighted item, and Double Left Click Will Use/Equip, there will be graphical buttons for install weapon mods and drop. Remove the use of the tab key.
  • Biomods: Single Left Click will highlight. Have a graphical button for install. Remove the use of the tab key
  • During cinematic conversations, spacebar will advance the text instead of skip to the next speech
