Vu un peu partout sur le net : la polizei a fait aujourd’hui irruption dans les locaux de Far Cry après qu’un ex-employé l’ait informée que le studio de développement utilisait des logiciels sans licences. La rumeur dit qu’il y en aurait pour 1 million d’euros de softs, sûrement un simple ragot. La police a aussi perquisitionné chez l’un des trois frères fondateur de la société.
Ubisoft commente chez neowin.net :
« Ubisoft was informed on Wednesday, in the beginning of the afternoon, of the search of the premises of Crytek the same morning. We cannot give any comments on the judicial enquiry concerning the management of Crytek and we hope that the suspicion of a fraudulent use of an image-treatment software reveals to be unfounded.
The Crytek team has started working again normally as of Wednesday, 2 pm and works relentlessly on the finalisation of Far Cry. The game will ship as planned at the end of March.«
Pas d’incidence sur la date de sortie, mais ça la fout mal pour Ubisoft qui a pris l’habitude d’exaspérer ses clients avec des systèmes anti-piratage de plus en plus contraignants.
