Arnie Swekel a designé les armes de Quake 4, et aujourd'hui il a droit à son quart d'heure de gloire dans une interview sur VIA CGA. C'était son premier jeu vidéo. En ce moment, il travaille sur le prochain Wolfenstein (co-développé par Raven et Nerve). L'interview est globalement inintéressante (« Alors Arnie, ça fait quoi de bosser dans le jeu vidéo ? ») mais contient 1 ou 2 questions intéressantes sur sa fin.

VIA CGA: Quake 4 was a highly anticipated game..are you pleased with the turnout of its success?

Arnie: You know, and this is a personal answer I don’t represent anyone here accept myself, I guess I’m a little disappointed. I’m surprised that more people aren’t into the single player. As a gamer I found it fun and entertaining. I can’t guess what people are going to think or how they’ll react but I can say I’m very proud of Quake IV and honored to have spent 3 and a half years of my life working on it. Personally I was only involved in how it looked, and to that end I’m extremely satisfied and proud of how it turned out.

Notez que c'est une « réponse personnelle » qui n'engage que lui. Est-ce à croire qu'il est le seul chez Raven à ne pas avoir honte ? En tout cas, en plus d'un nouveau jeu X-Men et du prochain Wolfenstein, Raven vient de boucler le prototype d'un nouveau projet top secret.
