Les développeurs de SWAT4 répondent aux questions de la communauté qui s'est formée autour du jeu. Ils regrettent de ne pas avoir eu le temps d'intégrer d'ironsight et un système de récompense avec des médailles. Ils expliquent aussi pourquoi les suspects que vous arrêterez ne tenteront pas de s'enfuir :

[...] Real SWAT teams have a ton of guys and always leave officers with every person they apprehend while the rest of the team continues to clear the area. We don't have the processing power to have that many AI characters doing things at one time so our suspects are kind enough not to try and escape while your back is turned. People that you cuff remain in the world where they were cuffed for the entire mission, they no longer disappear after you turn the corner like they did in SWAT3.
