CVG a eu le loisir de parler à Mark Long. Mark Long, c'est qui ? C'est le PDG de Zombie Studios, auteur de petites daubes sans intérêt comme la (trop longue) série des Spec Ops, Alcatraz: Prison Break ou encore Delta Force: Task Force Dagger. Il y a deux ans, Atari leur a commandé Shadow Ops: Red Mercury, un FPS militaristico-hollywoodien dirigiste et opportuniste.

Comme on ne croit pas du tout au jeu (prévu pour juin sur Xbox et à l'automne sur PC), on va plutôt vous parler de son background fouillé et de son scénario subtil et intelligent.

You are Captain Frank Hayden, and in the beginning of the game you're told you have to get into this hostile Syrian city to stop a nuclear weapon from escaping. And it's like a near suicide mission, one helicopter shot down on the way in, another one shot down just as soon as you fast-rope out of it.

And even in the beginning of the game, in the first two minutes, the nuke actually goes off, rolls this aircraft carrier in this unbelievable cinematic.

Une fois que Zombie vous a bien immergé dans votre personnage en vous tuant dès la première cinématique, vous pouvez commencer le jeu 3 jours avant votre mort. Vous transporterez votre figurine GI Joe de Frank Hayden du Congo à la Syrie (où Zombie imagine que vous pourrez survivre à votre mort) en passant par le Kazakhstan et la Tchétchénie.
