San Francisco, CA - September 11, 2003 - Ubisoft, one of the world's largest video game publishers is pleased to announce that its forthcoming PC game Far Cry(tm) scooped the award for PC Game of the Show at the recent ECTS event in London.
Ubisoft will publish Far Cry(tm) in late 2003, and retains the exclusive rights to publish interactive entertainment software products created under its Far Cry(tm) brand.
Far Cry(tm) is being developed for PC CD ROM by the German Coburg-based development studio Crytek, who has set new standards in game production by utilizing their own graphic technology - the CryENGINETM. The engine is capable of delivering realistic physics, stunning sound effects and a highly evolved enemy "team intelligence". Along with these considerable characteristics, it will also gather breathtaking visual effects.
