There are three different saber combat styles that you acquire over the course of the game that combine with eight attack moves, acrobatic leaps and wall jumps, defensive maneuvers, shot blocking and three different levels of saber throw. Kyle's movements correspond with his attacks to the point where he is moving fluidly in time with his light saber and not just standing rigidly swinging his saber with his arm. Some of Kyle's moves were motion captured, but most of them are hand animated or heavily tweaked motion capture moves.
