T1 with T2 graphics will be readily available probably before the end of this year. With the re-release come 10 classic T1 maps and a number of modders are already at work making use of the capabilities of the upcoming patch to recreate T1. One such mod (not CompMod) was brought to the council but not shown. Unamed is also working on something like this, as are others. If you already own T2, this will not cost you anything. But I doubt many people will play it that way. TR2 offers similar exhiliration but superior gameplay IMHO to T1 CTF. And since it's new and different.

Il est évident qu'une adaptation fidéle des cartes et des physiques de Tribes1 n'auront aucun succés. Après tout, autant jouer au Tribes original. C'est comme l'affreux mod DeathMatch Classic pour Half-Life qui prétend être QuakeWorld avec le moteur de Half-Life.

Il est temps de cesser de nous mentir à nous-même : la saga Tribes s'éteindra avec Tribes2. Adieu jetpack, ski, teamplay et gameplay ultra-speed (enfin, pour Tribes1 surtout le gameplay ultra-speed).
