Interview sur Fire Arms
Lien: le Site officiel de FireArms.HomeLAN - Is there any chance the Firearms team will work on a commerical game?
Ben Irwin - That's what we're all aiming for. That's like the ultimate goal for us. I don't think the earlier versions were great, but from version 2.4 onwards Firearms has been of a high quality. 2.6 should add more nice graphics to that, as well as more balance, and it will arguably be better than some of the stuff that's currently for sale in your local shop... But then I would say that.

The beta test will be held in three phases, each lasting for a week. Five hundred testers will be selected to participate in each phase of the test, for a total of 1,500 participants over the three weeks. The beta test servers will be on 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with only short breaks between phases.
Signups for the open beta test will begin on the official Renegade website at 12:01 a.m., Wednesday, November 28, and last for 24 hours. Westwood will use a lottery system to select the 1,500 testers from the applicants who meet the minimum system requirements. Westwood will notify the chosen testers within three days of the end of the signup period.

Carmack à propos des drivers
Source: ShacknewsMaking any automatic optimization based on a benchmark name is wrong. It subverts the purpose of benchmarking, which is to gauge how a similar class of applications will perform on a tested configuration, not just how the single application chosen as representative performs.

Preview de Medal of Honor
you'll have a variety of vehicles at your disposal, and you'll be able to jump onto most things you come across, manned or not, including the fully interactive M4 Sherman tank and the M3 Half Track. You'll be able to use German weapons as well, in addition to your own MP40 Machine guns and M1918A2 Browning automatic rifle. In all, there are over 21 historically accurate World War II era weapons, and more than 18 enemy vehicles.
