I spoke with some of you and explained that the future of Tribes 2 lay in your hands. If you abandoned it, we would too. If you stuck it out, so would we.
I'm happy to see that most of us are still here. A lot of you stepped up to help us test the latest patch, with pretty great results. Thank you. Many of you tempered your flames for awhile to see what would happen. Here are a few of the results of your actions.
- Most every issue preventing league play has been fixed.
- We are aware of cheating and are working to stop it.
- The demo record feature is now a "when" and not an "if."
- There is no question that we will continue to support Tribes 2.
(I don't have a estimate for release of cheat fixes or demo recorder. I don't' even want to say "soon." When I can give you better info I will. But they are coming.)
Your suggestions were heard and taken into account. There are other (good) things being worked on that are not definite enough for me to talk about yet.

Vite vu
n'y comprendrai rien.
Warren Spector is one of the leaders in the gaming industry. He has been behind some of the most genre-bending games to date including Ion Storm's Deus Ex and the Thief series

Eric Rojas - Beta 2 is a fairly big step in changes for Tactical Ops. One of the most controversial issues was the new aiming system, which has a firing cone (something that had always been planned for Tactical Ops, but never was added until now). There's also tons of new weapons, tweaks in terms of firing speed, moving speed, etc., and of course the new game types. There's also a new way to start the game, and it even has its own GUI!

Half-Life et Counter-Strike
- New Automatic update system
- Fixed GL texture binding problem (white skin bug)
- Optimized model drawing
Sans ces stupides animations on ne sait pas trop si on touche ou non la cible mais au moins on sait quand elle morte.[Sorry, but] it would require a lot of time and effort to get the hit animations back in CS and at the moment, that's something I dont have.
I'm working full steam ahead on CS2 and I can tell you I plan on having MORE hit animations in CS2.. I (like yourself) was disappointed to see them gone as I felt they added a great sense of feedback (you knew if you were hitting someone).

Quake4: des rumeurs
(Ne vous inquiétez pas: moi non plus je n'y comprends rien)Following the conclusion of development on Quake 3 Arena in late 1999, id faced in-fighting over the company’s next high profile project which ultimately saw the unceremonious sacking of 3D modeller Paul Steed in June 2000 and some furious anti-management comments in support from John Carmack. Carmack finally threatened to take his barely disguised genius elsewhere unless namesake Adrian Carmack and Kevin Cloud, who jointly control 50 percent of the company’s stock, immediately green-lighted the development of DOOM III. Cloud and Carmack relented, but Steed’s whacking left a rather dirty taint on the project at the time. The almost inevitable Quake 4, and any talk of it, vanished.
