"Nobody ever stormed through a Quake 2 map, because after getting used to the speed of Quake, and even more so Doom, Q2 was like playing underwater. Quake 3 tried to speed things up a bit over Q2, but it is still too slow for my taste. You gradually get used to the slower speeds of Q2 and Q3, and when you go back to Q1 it can be shocking how much faster it is. Try it if you don't believe me."
