After this patch, we'd like to give the game a chance to stand on its own and see how it does. At this point the code is stable and the balance is pretty tight, so it's time to let gamers focus on developing skill and strategies ased on the latest and greatest. As far as MOD support, we always have upported that community and will continue to do so. There are great resources on www.tribes2centraldownload.com for modders. There are a number of super-good mods that have already come out for Tribes 2, and we expect work begin on many more once the game is all locked down.
No news on the expansion pack at this time.

Concernant les joueurs de CS
L'auteur voit juste sur bien des points et explique parfaitement en quoi CS est handicapé par sa communauté. L'article est très intéressant, aborde le problème de l'âge, de l'importance, etc.. de la communauté de manière lucide.
Worse off, the newest gamers don't even know the code, as they have had no experience online. Most of these new players don't even know the damage they are causing with each flame and insult they hurl on the forums or in-game. These new gamers don't understand that these gaming communities are as real as any church group they attend or any company they are a part of. In the real life, if they insult someone, a counter-action will be dealt their way. However, they feel since they can't see the other person in a gaming, there is no risk of reprisal or consequences.
Ne vous imaginez pas qu'il s'agit d'un Nième texte visant à rabaisser CS, rien dans l'article n'est péjoratif ni insultant.

Ghost recon : 3ème interview

- Added several new CTF status messages for caps, pickups, etc.
- Added player IP addresses to "info" server display.
- Added modified "info" display for clients.
- Added "ban" and "ban_ip" server console commands.
- Added "LAN only" checkbox to Multi/Create/Options, also to the Servers screen. LAN vs. THQMultiplay (Internet) games are now 100% distinct.
- Reworked reliable packet layer to help reduce overall latency for critical game events. Should improve problems with people being arbitrarily kicked from a server or timeouts when joining.
- Reworked code related to weapon switching, item respawning/pickups, and CTF gameplay.
- Made framerate optimizations and eliminated some hitching problems.
- Fixed handheld remote charge rendering bug.
- Fixed item pickup bug in large games.
- Fixed bug where newly respawned players would appear to stand still, then teleport on other client machines.
- Fixed flamethrower vs. dedicated server bug.
- Fixed general flamethrower damage problem.
- Fixed flakiness with ~ console toggle key.
- Fixed "name" and "kick" commands to properly work with capital letters.
- Minor weapons tweaks.
